“Emily is truly amazing! I met her at a nesting event and I reached out to her when my husband and I decided to have a doula with us in the delivery room. She was so kind to us on the phone and set up two in-person meetings with us before our daughter was born. She made sure that we got to know each other before our birth so that everyone was comfortable. During these meetings, she asked us questions to make sure that she knew exactly what we wanted and didn't want in our labor and delivery room. She also helped us with any new topics that we hadn't thought about before. She took all of this information and typed up our birth plan for us! She was so helpful in our delivery room as well! She set up a diffuser in our room, had conversations with us, helped hold my legs up, offered different position ideas, and supported me during each step. She was so wonderful to have in our room and I am so glad that she was there! If you are looking for someone to support you during pregancy and labor, Emily is definitely an amazing choice!”

“Emily was so sweet and helpful and informative. My birth didn’t go the way I planned by having to be induced at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia. She helped me make an informed decision about induction and to try other options before starting Pitocin. She helped me through the process as I grieved my birth not going how I wanted it to. I feel like she supported me through the beginning and end of pregnancy by answering questions and being there for me when I needed to talk to her or cry, and I felt like she understood. She was also helpful to my husband, as this was his first birth experience as well. Despite my birth not going as planned, it still turned out to be a beautiful birth, resulting in my beautiful son. We will definitely use her again with another pregnancy!”

“After a very complicated pregnancy and birth, Emily as my doula was simply the best I could have hoped for. When our baby boy, Gabriel, arrived, Emily was an incredible advocate. Not just for my husband and me, but for Gabriel as well. She kept us perfectly informed, explaining every step of the planned c-section. In the operating room, when the doctors were rushing and my spinal failed, she became my anchor. She talked me through the fear, ensuring I stayed calm and constantly reassured me everything was okay, translating the medical team’s words for me. She was truly my voice when I couldn’t speak. In that incredibly vulnerable moment, I felt profoundly seen, heard, and taken care of. She also ensured we were informed about every medication we had concerns about for both myself and baby. Emily is truly gifted and born to do this work. She pours her heart and soul into the care of her mamas and babies. Her grace and light shine through in everything she does. You will not find a more dedicated person for this role. I can not recommend her enough.”

Emily is incredible! I truly couldn’t have done this without her, and I am so thankful she was in our corner throughout our birth journey.
Because of several unexpected complications, our birth plan quickly went out the window. After 45 hours of labor with very little progression, we ultimately needed to have a C-section. I went into this experience hoping for as few interventions as possible, but due to circumstances completely outside of our control, I ended up needing nearly every intervention I had hoped to avoid.
Through every step, Emily was there to explain the options, walk us through each recommendation from the medical team, and help us make informed decisions that were best for both me and our baby. In what could have easily been one of the most traumatic and frightening experiences of my life, she helped me feel informed, empowered, and in control of the decisions we were making.
Her calm presence, knowledge, and unwavering support made all the difference, and I truly can’t imagine going through that experience without her. I would wholeheartedly recommend Emily to any expecting family looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive doula

Emily was a valuable resource leading up to our son’s birth as we made an initial game plan but even more so when we found out our son was breech and would need to be delivered via c-section. Not only did she help us make informed decisions, she also provided us with encouragement along the way as we navigated a situation we were hoping not to find ourselves in. Emily provided stable support during surgery and in recovery when many nurses were in and out and my husband had to leave to be with our son. I’m so thankful to have had her as a confidant, cheerleader, and advocate throughout the highs and lows. Thank you Emily!!!
