After a very complicated pregnancy and birth, Emily as my doula was simply the best I could have hoped for. When our baby boy, Gabriel, arrived, Emily was an incredible advocate. Not just for my husband and me, but for Gabriel as well. She kept us perfectly informed, explaining every step of the planned c-section. In the operating room, when the doctors were rushing and my spinal failed, she became my anchor. She talked me through the fear, ensuring I stayed calm and constantly reassured me everything was okay, translating the medical team’s words for me. She was truly my voice when I couldn’t speak. In that incredibly vulnerable moment, I felt profoundly seen, heard, and taken care of. She also ensured we were informed about every medication we had concerns about for both myself and baby. Emily is truly gifted and born to do this work. She pours her heart and soul into the care of her mamas and babies. Her grace and light shine through in everything she does. You will not find a more dedicated person for this role. I can not recommend her enough.
